Extremely helpful staff -- each person I dealt with was efficient, courteous, and even kind. If you need help in English, they can give it. At one point I needed to change my reservation and the staff person helped me by calling Booked.net directly. The room was spotless and well appointed. It is only a 5 minute was to the Archivo. And I ate very well at the little cafe/restaurant just across from the archive. At the hotel, you can take the optional breakfast and they also serve beer and wine in the evening if you ask.
It was a bit hard to find the hotel initially from the bus stop. You can take the bus from the Valladolid bus station (rather than the urban bus that goes to the other side of Simancas, down at the river). If you get off at the second bus stop in Simancas (quite close to the Archivo) you will have seen the Hotel on the right as you are driving by (before the bus goes through the underpass). Then you can just walk back 3 minutes.

New building, very nicely designed, very comfortable rooms, beautiful view of town. Incredibly helpful and friendly staff, willing to provide information as well as drinks or light meals throughout the day or evening. Nice lobby with books on local history and geography. Within a 5 minute walking distance of the town, its river, and the Spanish National Archives.
The motorway runs right next to the old town. The hotel is just on the other side of the road. This means it has very convenient access from the motorway and good views of the town, but to reach the town is a short walk under the motorway carriages. For someone travelling on business this proximity to the motorway is a real advantage. For someone on a tourist trip or working in the archives it is a slight disadvantage, but one that the other pluses of the place more than make up for, especially given the dearth of accommodation options in Simancas.

Great staff, super friendly and helpful! They even gave us tips on where to eat and grab a drink. the queen room was awesome, we slept so well in those cozy beds 😊. Plus, the location is perfect, really close to Hospital de el Salvador.

The staff here were super helpful and on top of everything we asked for - they were really clever! When it comes to the location, it couldn't have been better - so amazing! Plus, there's a motorway nearby which makes getting around easy 😊. You've got a bunch of restaurants and bars just a stone's throw away, so no need to worry about finding a place to eat or grab a drink.

The friendliness off all the staff, this is a family owned business and run by mainly family members. The Hotel is very new so not yet up to speed with food facilities, although buffet breakfast was acceptable. We were told that they are looking for a franchise to run the bar so in the future a better selection of food may be available. Location was ideal for overnight stay for Ferry crossing in Santander, The village of Simancas is beautiful and spotlessly clean. The staff in the information bureau were very helpful and proud ot their History, one of them also spoke very good English. Would certainly stay there again on our next trip in 2012. Would reccommend this Hotel to our friends, hope they are very successful with it. Simancas is only 2 hrs drive from Santander.

Excellent location next to motorway. Clean and tidy hotel - almost brand new with secure parking. Simple but very good breakfast. Excellent facilities in room but remember to bring your own soap! (Something we did not find in all hotels in Spain!)
Although classed as a no smoking room, someone had obviously been smoking in our room prior to our arrival although it was not smelly enough to cause complaint.

Much nicer than we had expected from the description. The superior room was excellent value. The hotel is modern and clean. Really nice lady on reception when we arrived and everyone we came across was friendly and helpful. Excellent service. Adequate breakfast. Secure parking. Brilliant spot for travelling south from Santander. Simanacas is a great town.
Everything was good

The staff were friendly and spoke quite good English. The room was modern, clean and fairly minimalist. The bathroom ditto. The beds were comfortable and the room quiet. The breakfast was simple and very reasonably priced. The hotel is close to the motorway and about 2 1/2 to 3 hours drive to the ferry at Santander which makes it a convenient stop, The town of Simancas is really a small suburb of Valladolid but has a number of restaurants and a great view out of the River Pisuerga and the plain.
Facilities are limited. There is a small cafe/ bar but no restaurant. The room has no minibar or fridge and no safe box.
